Kye Hawkins is a member of the Blackfeet Nation. His parents died and Sam and Annie Hawkins adopted him and raised him. He is both a Blackfeet and a Hawkins. He went off to college and became a lawyer. He returned to practice in Duster. Janna is his soul mate and one love. He fell in love with her when they met as children and has never stopped loving her, but she left him eleven years ago and never came back. The spirits have told him she would come back, but he has to figure out how to convince her to stay on his own.
Janna Kincaid is a television director. She lives and works in Seattle. She owns her own home, lives alone and her goal is to remain single with no involvements or responsibilities except work. She left Duster eleven years ago and never looked back. Her memories are of being unhappy and hating the town. Now, the one person she loved has been killed. He leaves her his ranch and she has to return to Duster to dispose of it. She wants to make it a quick trip.
And now someone is trying to kill her. The first
attempt is in her Seattle home. She is
returning home to a town remembers with unhappiness, a man she never wants to
see again, and someone is trying to kill her.
Janna doesn’t want Kye’s
help in anyway, yet he always seems to be there when she’s in trouble. Can they
work together to find a killer, save the Native burial ground and home of the
spirits, and find romance again? I’ll post an excerpt on Saturday.
Sounds wonderful. Congrats! I wish you much success!
