It's like channeling, only the characters are all imaginary, and their only voice is through you. I'd love for it to be more profitable, so I could afford to work other jobs less and write more...but at least I have a hobby I love!Fiona McGierhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13495707848048468428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609030155206406866.post-60985025097029234182013-09-22T14:50:40.495-07:002013-09-22T14:50:40.495-07:00Thanks Lynn. You never know just where they might end up.

I tend to be a pantser because every time I've tried my hand at plotting, the characters laugh at me and tell me to do it their way. LOL!

Congrats on your new endeavor. The rejections get easier to take as time goes on and as long as you're writing that next book, all is well.Lynn Crainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17563978872099232823noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609030155206406866.post-21338659419190117512013-09-21T21:38:20.619-07:002013-09-21T21:38:20.619-07:00Beverly after the 25th rejection you feel no pain!...Beverly after the 25th rejection you feel no pain! Just keep writing. My YA novel, Whisper upon the Water, was an interesting experience. A publisher (you would recognize the name) called me at work and spoke to me for 30 minutes apologizing because he couldn't publish my novel. He had just sold the company and the new publisher was no longer interested in YA historical novels.
Label this as one of my "this can't be happening to me" moments. I did sell my novel, won the Dream Real Award and was both a Frankfurt Book Award and National Book Award nominee. The book is even in the archives of my local library. So, as the Native Americans believe: the story finds the person who is destined to bring it to life.Connie Vineshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17835205487088200480noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6609030155206406866.post-11378518787199185882013-09-21T18:39:09.047-07:002013-09-21T18:39:09.047-07:00I've started so many stories. I get an idea, and sit down and pound out the first three or so chapters in a blur of excitement... then it languishes on my laptop. I'm not so good at middles and endings. The good part is now I have tons of story ideas. I'm choosing the ones I like best and finally completing them even though new stories keep coming!

I love your book cover!
